stranger interludes

NEW DATES COMING SOON

The official, first industry reading took place on Friday, November 18th at The Dramatists Guild Foundation

Amanda Bearse, Actress & Director (Bros; Married...With Children; Fright Night)

“Having worked extensively as a performer and director, I have come across a wide variety of excellent scripts, and Stranger Interludes definitely ranks as one of the most memorable I have had the pleasure to read.”

Written by David James Parr, directed by Amanda Bearse, and starring Two-Time Tony Award Nominee Alison Fraser, Stranger Interludes is a contemporary dark comedy about gender inclusivity, drug addiction, and mental health, centering on a much-married would-be stage actress recently diagnosed with early dementia, her three dysfunctional children, a drifter with a secret past, and the mysterious young man hired to write the matriarch's memoir. The production blends elements of classic theater with modern filmmaking to create a thrillingly unique theatrical piece.
