Boundless Theater will present the first stage reading of Crash & Burn - The Trials & Tribulations Of A Queer Man Living Under A Curse (Working Title), written by actor and drag artist Chetan Rao and playwright, performer, and screenwriter Nalini Sharma, in association with Theater Q Asbury as part of their developmental reading series "Q Reads" Monmouth Arts' ARTSPACE at Count Basie Center for the Arts campus in Red Bank, New Jersey. Boundless Theater will present PLUTO IS LISTENING, the mystery-drama written by award-winning playwright David James Parr (Slap & Tickle; Eleanor Rigby Is Waiting; Stranger Interludes) will be presented at FRIGID New York - the independent, non-profit theater company operating UNDER St. Marks Theatre (94 St Marks Place New York, NY 10009), an off-off-Broadway venue in the East Village - this May 17th & 19th, at 7:30 PM.

I walked into The Eagle, a notorious leather bar in Manhattan. As a transgender woman, there are places you know not to go. The bar is inclusive but the men who frequent it are not — and being a femme around a bunch of horny, “masc4masc” types isn’t my idea of fun.
The bar was hosting a play that Boundless Theater, a queer theater company, produced called ”Slap & Tickle.” I was there playing the role of Shira, a 40-year-old Jewish transgender woman (which is, give or take, my exact identity). The cast was made up of me and six of the most tender gay cisgender men I’d ever met.

Boundless Theater will host an industry reading of a new play, Stranger Interludes, by David James Parr, November 18 at The Dramatists Guild Foundation.
Two-time Tony nominee Alison Fraser (First Daughter Suite, The Divine Sister, The Secret Garden, Romance/Romance) will lead a cast also including Robbie Simpson (General Hospital), Patrick Ball, Brenna Palughi (A Time to Kill), James Wells, and Joleen Wilkinson. Amanda Bearse is directing with casting by Pat McCorkle.

Eleanor Rigby is Waiting, presented by Boundless Theater, and written by David James Parr, at The Duplex, is divided into two complementary chapters – “Electricity” & “Closure,” each one happening on different nights.
“Closure” addresses the many places we meet in the city. It’s where we fall in love, or out, or just to the side of it, where we connect as city dwellers in public restrooms, coffee shops, subway platforms, sidewalks, and Columbus Circle, all of these are the settings of the eleven thoughtful, poignant, and quick vignettes. Reality in the face of loneliness is what the play is about.
