SLAP & TICKLE
is a thought-provoking, comedic & sensual play written by award-winning playwright David James Parr. Insightfully candid and darkly funny, this innovative play examines how politics, drugs, HIV and social media dramatically changed the landscape for a generation of LGBTQIA+ people in America. The show which has been successfully produced all over the US, takes an immersive twist—think The Boys in the Band meets Sleep No More—in a new partnership with Boundless Theater. This new incarnation premiered at The Eagle Club NYC in the Spring of 2023 and it is now ready to land at the RED EYE NYC in the the Fall of 2024.
The project supports GMHC the world's first HIV/AIDS service organization. Boundless Theater donates $5 from every ticket sale to GMHC and their mission to end the AIDS epidemic and uplift the lives of all affected.

With a hot DJ Set spinning records inspired by the play’s soundtrack - a throwback of beloved gay jams from the era of the bathhouses & ballrooms mixed up with contemporary tunes. And starring surprising performers, from drag acts to vogueing dancers. And celebrities and special guest speakers from our non-profit partner GMHC.

Boundless Theater is simultaneously launching the social media campaigns #SlapNoMore and #UseYourHeadBeforeHeadingOut to give voice to our LGBTQIA+ community and contribute to ending acts of violence and injustice against queer people as well as inspiring the kids to have fun responsibly.
